ack Wood Gallery is located in Cincinnati, Ohio at 2039 Madison Road in the small retail village known as O'Bryonville. We seek to provide the finest in quality vintage posters and graphic art from the late 19th century and early to mid-20th century. The collection has been built and continues to evolve around two basic themes. The visual or visceral appeal of the works themselves as well as what they represent in terms of lithographic excellence, historical and political significance, and as landmarks in the history of graphic design. To a lesser extent but of equal importance the collection is always seeking to maintain a representative inventory of key artists and subject areas. We have designed this website with that in mind and have included some of our top pieces in each category. Some of these are more easily maintained than others so please contact us directly for the most up-to-date information about what is available.

eing situated here in the Queen City we take special pride in the place that it occupies in the history of American lithography. From the middle of the 1800's Cincinnati was home to some of the most highly regarded printing companies in the world. The Strobridge Company in particular stood tall as the premier poster printer in this country for decades. We are fortunate to have some strong examples of their work in our gallery. Others such as Donaldson, Russell-Morgan, and Enquirer did work of exceptional quality which is prized today not only for its collectability but its decorative value as well. We also maintain a large number of smaller examples of printing art that are very affordable and therefore make a good starting point for the person who is intrigued but still unfamiliar with the wealth of enjoyment that comes with owning a larger piece.
